Well apart from listing frantically in a desperate attempt to stop our overdraft from descending into four-figure territory, this week has been spent mostly flat on my back, in the company of Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. (Less exciting than it sounds, believe me)
Yesterday I resorted to my grandmother's TENS machine, so I am pulsing nicely as I write this. It seems to help slightly, but I can't go on like this, so a doctor's visit is in the offing. I wonder if new back muscles are provided on the NHS?
Other than that, I've started a 'no-alcohol' month in an attempt to save money and my liver. A nice glass of wine in the evening all too easily turns into a nice bottle or two...
Saying that, I'm still going to attempt to home-brew this year!

Hello there. Very glad to have found you, so thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently doing the 'nearly no alcohol month'. Total cheat really. But, anyway, yes, know what you mean about the glass of wine morphing into a bottle or more. Ahem.
I've been wanting to try my hand at the home-brew, but not quite sure where to begin. I imagine myself at another, not so non-alcoholic point in time, quaffing a fine bottle o' homemade Blackberry wine.
Hi Docwitch, nice to 'meet' you! I've been enjoying your blog, especially some of your gluten free recipies, looking forward to trying some out :)
ReplyDelete*Sigh*, I'm glad I'm not the only one in the 'reluctantly sober' boat! I swear the wine evaporates... honest!
I'll let you know how I get on with the home brewing, hopefully I'll find a few foolproof methods...mmm, that Blackberry wine sounds lovely...
Thanks for dropping by, I'm all excited over my first comment!! (maybe I need to get out more...)
Take care
